Empowering Students in Higher Education
Recognizing the aspirations of students with disabilities pursuing higher education in Madurai, our Disability Support Program provides crucial resources and guidance to help them succeed academically and professionally. We offer a range of services designed to address their unique needs and facilitate their journey towards independence.
Job Skill Training
To support the career aspirations of graduates with disabilities, REACT has partnered with reputable local institutions in Madurai to offer specialized coaching for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) and Bank examinations. This initiative aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully compete for government sector jobs.
Campus Placements
Recognizing the importance of practical experience in shaping future careers, REACT has recently launched an internship assistance program. We actively collaborate with various organizations to identify and secure valuable internship opportunities for students with disabilities, providing them with real-world exposure and enhancing their employability.
REACT collaborates closely with the Help The Blind Foundation to facilitate education sponsorships for students with visual impairments in Madurai. We as volunteers of HTBF manage the necessary paperwork and provide strong recommendations to HTBF. In 2024 and 2025 alone, we have successfully supported the distribution of sponsorships to 80 deserving students across 11 colleges in Madurai.
We understand the role of assistive technology in enabling students with disabilities to thrive in their academic pursuits.
REACT has established partnerships with leading organizations such as Dextroware Devices, Composite Regional Center, Madurai District Disability Rehabilitation Office, NEO Motion, and TorchIT.
We conduct thorough assessments of individual student needs and liaise with these manufacturers to ensure the provision of appropriate assistive tools. Furthermore, we provide comprehensive training to students on the effective utilization of these devices.
